Irene Vandertop is an Interactive Producer with more than ten years of experience producing, designing, and project managing in new media, TV broadcasting, and documentary production.
At DEEP Inc Irene is heading the production of multiple high profile VR and 360 video projects. In 2014 she produced the Grimme Online awarded Polar Sea 360, a sophisticated immersive web and mobile experience centered around 360-degree video storytelling, and Songs of Freedom, an immersive website and mobile interactive songbook application featuring internationally acclaimed opera star Measha Brueggergosman.
Together with her partner Thomas Wallner, she is presently leading the production of Liquid Cinema, a 360 video platform and software product for cinematic VR content creators and online content distributors such as broadcasters.
Previous to her work at DEEP, Irene has been an art director and producer on a number of interactive experiences including Museum Secrets Interactive (Kensington Communications/History Channel), Digital Emmy® nominated Inside Hana’s Suitcase Online (Xenophile Media/CBC), Webby Award winning Love Letters to the Future (Greenpeace International), and Hotdocs Winner The Guantanamo Trap.
